Washington, D.C. – Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA) is honored to announce the appointment of Stephen “Steve” Glaude, President and CEO of The Coalition, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Glaude brings extensive leadership experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, and government relations from his longstanding career in the government, private, and nonprofit sectors.
“We are delighted to welcome Steve Glaude to our Board of Directors,” said Kristyn Peck, LSSNCA CEO. “Steve’s long career in public service spans leadership roles in the District of Columbia and within the federal government, where he built bridges between communities and policymakers and helped shape legislation. His leadership role at two national associations resulted in significant financial and membership growth. We are honored to have his expertise guiding our mission.”
Throughout his career, Mr. Glaude has managed more than $8 billion in federal grant programs, raised more than $50 million for nonprofits, and supported fundraising efforts totaling more than $500 million.
LSSNCA is deeply grateful to Mr. Glaude for his commitment to advancing our mission of serving neighbors in need – a commitment reflected throughout his career. In addition to joining LSSNCA’s Board of Directors, Mr. Glaude also serves as the Board Chair of The Community Opportunity Alliance and as a board member of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition.
