Designed to serve as a community hub for LSSNCA program participants, the Resource Center is a meeting point for cultural orientation and engaging support groups. LSSNCA program participants can “shop” their needs as they make the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area their new home.
The Resource Center is LSSNCA’s only donation collection site. Donations can be shipped or dropped off. Staff and volunteers sort and set up the Center to provide a dignified “shopping” experience for LSSNCA program participants and other community members in need.
If you know of someone who could benefit, please email the Resource Center.

How To Help
Winter Coat and Toy Drive
From October 1 to December 20, donate a brand-new toy or a gently used coat to a neighbor in need. Donations are being collected at the Resource Center. For alternative donation drop-offs in Maryland, please email ResourceCenter@lssnca.org.
Donate Goods
The Resource Center runs on donations, and is LSSNCA’s only donation collection site. Donations include clothing, winter coats, kids toys, hygiene products, diapers, pantry food, and more. Please ship or drop-off donations during the hours listed above. Greatest needs items rotate based on the needs of our new neighbors. Donations can also be purchased via our Amazon WishList.
Volunteer
Thanks to volunteers, LSSNCA can better meet the needs of new neighbors and reach them directly. Volunteers can tangibly welcome new neighbors and support our growing community through donating their time at workshops and family events, assisting with shopping experiences, curating donated inventory, distributing coats and backpacks, and more.
