Dignity Thrift is the sustainable retail addition to Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA). Purchases of gently used items strengthen and diversify funding for essential programs and services. Neighbors in need can access free, essential, personal, and household items through our "Shopping with Dignity" program.

Through shopping, donating, or volunteering, supporters can directly advance LSSNCA’s mission and help ensure our neighbors have access to the resources they need to thrive.
In-kind donations received by LSSNCA serve multiple purposes. Neighbors in need receive free essential goods, excess pre-owned clothing and accessories are given a second chance, and textiles are kept out of landfills through ReFiber.
