ReFiber is a volunteer-based textile recycling and reuse initiative that works to reduce textile waste from in-kind donations. Volunteers process and give new use to fiber-based materials that cannot be distributed or resold. Items that cannot be used for ReFiber are recycled through Green Drop.
ReFiber diverts usable clothing fabrics, deadstock fabric, yarns, and other fiber-based materials from shredding or ending up in a landfill and prepares them for reuse by makers, artists, and fiber enthusiasts.
Processed materials are sold through Dignity Thrift, with 100% of proceeds supporting LSSNCA’s mission and services to community members in need through the Resource Center.
