Washington, D.C. – Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA) is honored to announce the appointment of Lynn Jacquez to its Board of Directors. Ms. Jacquez brings an extensive background in law, government relations, and immigration and refugee policy, making her an invaluable addition to LSSNCA’s governing body.

Ms. Jacquez is the Managing Partner and Principal at CJ Lake LLC, where she specializes in federal legislative law, workforce and employment policy, immigration law, and economic development strategies. Her distinguished career began on Capitol Hill as counsel for the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees, and International Law. She played a pivotal role in drafting and advancing the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, which was signed into law by President Reagan (Public Law No. 99-603). Ms. Jaquez is on the Board of Elders at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Falls Church.
