Daniel has spent more than 20 years advancing economic opportunities for individuals and families here in the United States and in his native country Ethiopia through direct service, research, teaching, leadership and management consulting as well as socio economic policy analysis. He worked for Fairfax County Government for more than 10 years and currently manages workforce development programs in City of Alexandria. Daniel received BA and MSc. degrees in Economics from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He also earned MBA from Johns Hopkins University and MPA from Virginia Tech. Daniel has special interest in helping organizations become high performers through employee engagement, data informed decision making and continuous systems improvement. Daniel lives in Fairfax County with his wife Zufi, their children Nate, Dave and Abigail.
